Good Afternoon Parents!
Hope you all are having a great Tuesday! I just wanted to post this and remind you that Missy Mayger and Myself will be riding, along with many others, in the Bama and Back Bike Ride to raise money for Speed the Light on November 9th and 10th. This reason for this ride is to help provide vehicles for missionaries who are currently limited to riding bicycles themselves. As a ministry, Momentum sets a goal, by faith, to give to Speed the Light. This year we set our goal at $10,000 and are well over half way there! I need to tell you that we have not done one fund raiser this year, all of the money we have raised has been because of the faithfulness and hard work of your students!!!! But we haven't reached our goal yet.

So, I am asking you, as parents, to consider sponsoring Missy and I in this bike ride. 120 miles is no joke, well maybe to some but no to me :), and we will spend the better part of 8 hours on bicycles in order to finish the ride. Some have given a lump sum and some sponsor by the mile. What ever you do, please do something for two reasons:
1. Because we have missionaries who desperately need to share the gospel who are limited because of transportation,
2. We want to see our youth reach their goal!

I am willing to do this for missions, won't you consider partnering with me.

Email me at pastorscott@ccc-connection.com or post a comment and let me know.

Pastor Scott

Uncle Shucks Corn Maze

Hey Parents,

Just wanted to remind you that momentum will be going to Uncle Shucks Corn Maze in Dawsonville on November 8th. The cost is $20 and we will be leaving the church at 4:30. Then we will take the party to the Salensky's house for a bonfire and snacks! The evening should end around 10pm. If you need directions to the Salensky's house email me and I will get them to you. It's going to be a great evening with lots of fun, so encourage your student to come and bring a friend!

Fall Retreat Final Payment

Just wanted to remind everyone that the final payment of $80 for our Fall Retreat is due October 4th.

There will be a permission slip and schedule passed out tonight to all of the students participating, so be sure to ask them about it.

We also want to ask you to begin to pray for our retreat, that God will move in a huge way in the lives of our students! The Theme is 'More than Anything' and we absolutely want to see teenagers sell out to God more than anything else!
